2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 finished in rare Velocity Blue with the high-output 480HP 5.0L Coyote V8 engine that’s paired to a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission (same one used in the Shelby GT350), a Torsen Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) with 3.73 axle ratio, Recaro Performance Seats and just 39,183km.
It’s been a Canadian car since it was sold brand new sold in Fernie, British Columbia at Legacy Ford.
The “Mach 1” name for Mustangs has always been a special combination of performance & appearance. First introduced in 1969 that stayed in production until 1978, then twenty-five years later it came back again for one year only in 2003-2004, and most recently was produced between 2021-2023.
These S550 generation Mach 1 Mustangs produced from 2021-2023 offer a great overall package and a lot of bang for your buck with many shared Ford Performance Parts from the Bullitt, GT350, and GT500 Mustangs. This isn’t just a Mustang GT with an appearance package…you don’t get the Getrag MT82 six-speed that’s a known weak link in the GT Model, but you’ll get the beloved TREMEC TR-3160 (borrowed from the outgoing Shelby GT350).
Shelby GT350/GT500 shared parts also include the GT350 intake manifold, GT350 front & rear subframe, GT350 lower cooling vents & oil cooling system, GT350 Torsen limited-slip differential (LSD) with a 3.73 axle ratio, GT350 Recaro race inspired seats and GT350 six-piston Brembo front brakes. You’ll also get GT500 stiffer bushings, GT500 tow-link, GT500 rear diffuser and differential cooling system from the Shelby Mustang high-performance parts bin.
Bullitt Mustang parts are also included with this S550 Mach 1 as it gets the Bullitt Mustang’s fan favorite white cue ball short-throw shifter for rowing your own gears paired to the Bullitt’s naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8 that produces 480HP at 7,000 rpm and 420 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,600 rpm, this S550 Mustang Mach 1 is a fitting celebration of a nameplate that born more than 50 years ago.
Ford Performance has also given the Mach 1 the latest MagneRide suspension calibration, a stiffer steering I-shaft, new EPAS calibration, stiffer sway bars and front springs, and a brake booster from the Mustang GT Performance Pack Level 2.
This all works out to it being a great all-around and well-sorted driver’s car that you can daily drive, take to the road-course, drag-strip, or take on a road-trip across country. It’s happy to do it all and do it well.
